NEWSAWARDS looking for printed innovations - Is it your turn this year?

​NEWSAWARDS, formerly known as The Newspaper Awards, is celebrating its 20th anniversary this year. Newsawards winners are chocen in 20 categories across three areas: Print, Digital and Business innovation.

UPM has been proudly sponsoring the awards for years and since 2014 UPM has had it own premier award "Printed Innovation of the Year". The award goes to creative or marketable newsprint applications that deliver commercial benefit to printers and publishers. In 2015 more than 40 outstanding entries were submitted from mainland
Europe and the UK to this category.

Entries are now being invited for newsawards 2016. The award ceremony will take place on Wednesday 27 April in London Lancaster.

Closing date for entries is 5 February 2016. Entries need to have been published between 1 January 2015 and 5 February 2016. Entry is free of charge

In 2015 the "Printed Innovation of the Year" award went to Newbury Weekly News for their amazing Augmented Reality 3D application.
