UPM offers a wide range of products certified  to the most widely recognised ecolabels. Some products are automatically certified to a particular label, whilst others can be supplied as certified on customer request.

These third-party awarded ecolabels are proof  for customers and consumers of the environmental credentials of our products.

UPM is the industry leader in EU Ecolabelled products. We offer over 160 EU Ecolabeled copying and graphic paper products, more than any other graphic paper producer.

UPM also offers PEFC and FSC certified products. If they also have a certified chain of custody themselves, our customers then have the possibility to use these logos on their own end products.

In addition UPM can provide information to support  our customers  application to use other regional/national ecolabels such as Nordic Swan, China Green Label and Blue Angel.

Criteria of different environmental labels

1) No EU Eco-label criteria available for newsprint paper, label paper or industrial packaging paper.
2) All papers that are awarded with the EU Eco-label are automatically also approved for Nordic Swan labelled printerd products.
