We make paper products with consistently low environmental impact over their whole lifecycle.

Our paper products are:

• made of renewable raw material 
• recyclable or biodegradable
• in many cases produced using renewable bioenergy

Environmental labels demonstrate our products’ leading environmental performance, and are a great way to meet our customers’ demands for third party verification.

The vast majority of UPM papers are certified with at least one of the most widely recognised international forest certification schemes and environmental labels; including FSC, PEFC and the EU Ecolabel. UPM has more papers awarded with the EU Ecolabel than any other graphic paper producer.

In addition, we can supply you with the applicable information if you wish to use other regional environmental labels such as Nordic Swan and Blue Angel.
