UPM also develops new solutions to meet the growing demand for papers with low carbon footprint, produced using renewable energy sources.
Already 70% of UPM's energy generation capacity is CO2, neutral mainly using renewable biomass.
The biomass is sourced from sustainably managed forests and non-agricultural residues such as sawmill waste and demolition timber.
